We sang a wake up song in the morning. We got the musical instruments out and played and sang with them. We sing along to nursery rhymes in the car and my son loves Rhianna at the moment. We always sing along to the tv programs we watch like Dora the Explorer. Every night we sing lullabies before going to bed. Our days are full of song!
We sang to each to each other instead of talking. It was funny. Mummy taught us how to sing opera and jazz.
We started the day with nursery rhymes..... then later sang in rounds ( quite a task for my four year old, .....she even tried it with her fingers in her ears!)...progressed to a re run of my daughters' school concerts. Great fun!
To try keeping the kids awake on journey home, I started them singing. We started with 'if you're happy and you know it' we tried the wheels on the bus, Kai wanted to add his own verses, then Alana pipes up she does too. We're all sitting there waiting for another verse but she decided to do her Party peice instead 'twinkle twinkle little star' but somehow managed to sing it to the tune of the wheels on the bus. :)
Fab. We have all been singing along to Absolute Radio, love it :)
Yeserday - Me and Mama have been having a lovely time singing my 'Young Voices' songs practicing for a performance with my school in the NEC Birmingham in November. Especially the pop medley 'When I see your face' :) Tomorrow I'll be practicing again with my sister who is also in it, but was at a friends house for tea today. I love singing. I'm mostly good at singing high. xxx
Today - we have been singing since we woke up this morning at 6.52.
we're getting better and better
Me and Alfie have been singing along to The Lazy song today, and as he went down to bed last night we sang along to Twinkle Twinkle, I love You, You love me and Humpty Dumpty. Its great to chill out at bedtime xxx
We always sing in our family so this was a bit of a cop out really but we sang on the way to school in the car (Lion King Soundtrack, always a favourite!) and the girls were giggling in the back of the car, nothing new there! (we take Lauras friend to school in the morning). I always sing to Daniel when I change his nappy too because it calms him down and distracts him from the other things going on around him so I can do it without chasing him round the room! A lovely first challenge. Thank you x
