We tried this with our girls at bedtime....started with a foot massage, which they loved, although lots of giggling as quite ticklish! We used lavender oil, which is their favourite. Moved on to hand massage next. My four year old was out for the count five minutes in, and my eldest very relaxed and in sleepy mode. Great. You worked your magic BFC!!
I love having reflexology, but being a single, disabled mum (MS) there is not always enough funds to be able to have as many sessions as I would like, so my son (7) has started to do it for me, it was his choice to start doing it for me!! He is actually very good and really focusses all of his energy on it! He even gets paid £1 a week for it!! lol! I also give him a foot, arm and back massage every night before bed with a calming night time cream, it really helps settle him! x
Before bed this evening, we decided that it'd be a great time to relax with hair playing/head massages. Since I'm a big fan of that I offered up to be guinea pig to having my hair done :) Grandma who is visiting also volunteered for the hard task of having her hair played with. LOL
After they both boys played with our hair, I remembered this challenge and announced that it was time for Mummy to give the boys a massage. Both boys were very excited and we took it in turns. Both boys giggled and wriggled at hand massaging... feet was a no-go! Complete and utter fits of giggles!!!!
Thank-you for showing me something so simple and so obvious for me to connect with my boys. We will be repeating this!!! =D
This was so funny, we tried to massage each others feet at the same time but the sofa isn't long enough for both of us to stretch out so for some time my foot was in T's face. Also I am very ticklish so I kept my socks on!.
T says 'it was really funny because my mums foot was kicking me in the face, we were almost laughing to death. It would have been better if my mum wasn't laughing through the whole thing but it was a lot of fun anyway.'
Tonight we took turns massaging feet - well, I took turns massaging the boys feet. Neither offered up a massage for me! Ha
Zach's feet were very ticklish and he spent a lot of time giggling which then fast moved on to who could tickle each other the most.
